[Galbi: short ribs, jjim: braise, steamed dish]
Galbi-jjim (갈비찜) is every Korean’s favorite dish. This dish is often the main event on party and holiday menus. The marinade is basically the same as my Korean BBQ marinade, but the only difference is that I add a little more soy sauce.
[Bajirak: manila clams, Kalguksoo: Korean pasta]
Yesterday, I purposely made more clam stock than I needed when I made soondubu-jjigae. The reason for this was so I could make today’s lunch, bajirak-kalguksoo. Bajirak is a manila clam but you can use cockles or little neck clams, which are easier to find. Continue reading
